Add the symbol flamenco guitar Golpe (represented as 'x') to the Master palette.

• Feb 22, 2025 - 23:48

Currently, the guitarGolpe symbol is present in the Master palette as a non-functional symbol under the under "Symbols / Guitar" section. It looks like a '*' (asterisk).

In flamenco guitar, a golpe is represented as a 'x' symbol over a note or a rest (see attachment), which seems to be a stylistic alternate (tailored towards flamenco).
See https://w3c.github.io/smufl/latest/tables/guitar.html for reference.

This request is to add the guitarGolpeFlamenco to the Master palette.

There's already a number of possibilities in the Master Palette:

* "Mordent with upper auxiliary", with vertical offset -2.5

* "Snap", with vertical offset -2

* "Rim shot for stem", with vertical offset -3 and horizontal offset 0.75

Or you could use any of the plus signs, with rotation:

* "Closed wah/volume pedal", with vertical offset -2.5 and rotation 45°

For that matter, you could simply use a text X (which is what your example looks like).
