How to save in an earlier version
I am most happy to use version 3 and not version 4. Can I save a file in version 4 to version 3. Can a friend download the version 3

Thank you foir your answer. It was not what I wanted. I want to save a 4. version file with a 3 version code. I have freiend that only want to use vers 3.
And I have the opinion that the vers 4 is very difficult to use. Let me give you an example.
I have a score with piano, Clarinet, Altsax. I want to se only clarinet on the screen. In version 2 and 3 I can press the I and choose which note I want to save as pdf. In version 4 I have to delete all the other lines to isolate Clarinet.

For PDF generation, you generate parts for each instrument. You do not need to delete anything.

Then export the score as xml or mscx and provide this.

My order of preference is:
1. Use Musescore 3.7
2. Extract the .mscx from the .mscz
3. Export .xml
