Chord symbols and triads MS4
I'm using Musescore 4.1.1
I want to learn how to write chord symbols. I'm puzzled about the chording I hear.
I attach a score showing triads and chords.
I would have expected the chords to be the same as the triads, but they're not.
A second line shows the same chords with Tools > Realize chord symbols and that shows what they actually are.
Why does Musescore do that? How do I specify that I want the same chording as a triad?
Also, realizing the symbols adds a very low root note. I know that's what is in the chord when played, to accentuate the root. But I would like to specify that when I realize a chord, I just want the three or four note version. The three and four options in the chord properties does not suppress that extreme bass note. How do I get that?

Yes, that describes what I see: "Note: All voicings include a bass note, 2 octaves below the root note of the chord"
But that is unsuitable for printing. How can I configure the realization so that it does NOT include that bass note? I want to configure a three note chord to be C4-E4-G4 rather than C2-E4-G4.

As far as I can tell from the handbook description, it is not possible to avoid the bass note.
That means you have two options. Either first generate ("realize") the chords and then remove the bass notes, or enter the chords manually without using the realize feature.

With V3, there was a quick and easy way to perform this unwanted notes removal, see the GIF below. Unfortunately, this feature (one of many) has disappeared with V4.
