Score is invalid

I tried uploading a score but it didn’t work and now I can’t open it. It says, “Your score could not be opened, this score is invalid.” I looking around on the forum and a lot of people are saying to go into the app data and save it there, but I’m using a Chromebook so I can’t do that. Does anyone know what to do?

You say you tried "uploading" it - do you mean, using File / Publish to musescore.com"? What went wrong when you tried? And did you then save the score normally? And it's the saved copy on your computer you now cannot open? Please attach it here - no AppData required, just attach the file itself. See the "Choose a file" button below where you type to attach.

If on the other hand you are saying you never saved it to your computer and only saved it to the cloud (I very strongly recommend against this, BTW), you will want to get the cached local copy. On Windows, it is indeed under "AppData", but on Linux systems like your Chromebookm it's under ".local". Which you can only see from within Linux since it is hidden. But, it's ".local/share/MuseScore/MuseScore4/cloud_scores". You will find files corresponding to your cloud scores here. Find the one you are having trouble with and attach it here.
