An articulation on one staff applies to the other staff
Hi everyone.
I am creating a double bass part in which there are two staffs for one instrument. One staff is supposed to do arco, while the other does pizzicato. However, putting arco on one of the staffs will make the other staff do arco too, even if I have put pizz on the other staff. Is there a solution to this?

How did you create the second bass staff?
If you create two bass staves when you create the score, you end up with two independent bass parts. If you later create the second bass part form the first one using the instruments palette, you end up with what you have.

I first added one bass part to the sore, then added an additional staff to that one bass part.

Exactly why there is a problem. You need to create two independent bass parts. Not one from the other.
