2 Issues: 1. Mixer Won't Open, 2. Cello Slides from Note to Note, 3 A Voice Won't Get as Loud as Other Voices

I am using version 4.1.1.232071203, Rev e4d1ddf.

I loaded a score I hadn't opened in a couple of years.

  1. Mixer won't load. The screen blinks like it is loading but I can't find it no matter what I do.

  2. The cello now sounds like an amateur is playing it. Notes are not hit crisply and the movement from note to note sounds like it is sliding.

  3. The upper voice is not as loud as the other voice. I often can't even hear it. I can't correct this because I can't get to the Mixer.

You might try View>Restore default layout to get the Mixer back. The second voice is louder because it is Basic sound. Muse choir voices are much softer anyway. The solo cello is trying to be expressive. Which make the sound slide over wide intervals. Try the section sound instead.
For over all balance of voices to instruments, you might need to boost the vocals in the mixer.
