Chorus parts not playing after adding MuseSounds (Mac Sonoma 14.2.1 MuseScore
I am working on a score with piano and 3 choir parts. I added Sounds using MuseHub, but under Playback Setup they were shown as not active. After reading something about this issue, I uninstalled MuseScore and reinstalled it using MuseHub.
Now the piano sounds lovely, but the choir parts make no sound at all. I tried replacing all the instruments, thinking that might be the problem, but it did not change anything. Then I realized that the voices were there, just incredibly soft. So I opened the mixer and tried adjusting the levels - now nothing plays back.
Please help. Score is attached.

Here is what I did. Yes, the vocals are very quiet.
I opened the mixer and raised the faders for the vocal parts almost all the way up. Then lowered the fader for the piano enough to balance with the vocals. I also turned off playback of chord symbols. Select the gear icon at the top of the screen in the playback controls.

Thanks - that did the trick. I don't know why the chord symbol playback always gets reset to play. But it's not a big deal. The new sounds are soooo much better.

Maybe the vocal sounds will get fixed someday. But in the end, that's what the faders are for. And pan your instruments so that they sound more realistic. When everything is in the center, it sounds like all the players are sitting on top of each other. Could be dangerous for the one at the very top.

Thanks. Now I have learned what it is to pan. It helped. And the real voices are so much better than the old - incomparably better.

Chords symbols do play by default. If you don't want to hear them in some given score, mute their channel in the mixer.
