Melisma line does not always appear
In MuseScore 4.2.0.233521124, the melisma line for lyrics appears as it should for words that are more than two or three letters long. For words over two or three letters, however, the line does not always appear.

The presence or absence of a visible melisma will vary, depending on how much space is available. If the notes are tightly packed then the melisma will disappear completely. For example:

But what is left from the 'missing' melismas is the text alignment
