Removing and adding barlines

Hello,
I wanna write a score that starts without barlines (like on an uploaded screenshot) and then barlines appear. I managed to delete barlines but can't add it. Is it even possible? If yes, how can I do it?

Start with very long bars and add barlines when you need them. Or, choose several bars and merge them with:Tools >Bars >Join selected bars.
