altering bar numbers in musescore
I only want to write out a section from the middle of a symphony for orchestra and I can't work out how to start my bar numbering so it continues from the page before. In this instance it starts from bar no 474
I can't seem to find it anywhere and not sure if it's possible

Open the properties for this new first measure and see "Add to measure number". Enter 473 and the first measure will become number 474.
right click in an empty part of the first measure (UK bar) and enter the number offset (474 in your case) in "Add to measure number". See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/measure-numbering#change-number-seq…
