Dynamics no longer working except on percussion

Any thoughts on the best way to get dynamics working again?

Not sure if this is related, but I THINK the problem occurred after I added my sound font. Suddenly I was no longer able to hear the orginal soundfont instruments that have names ending "Expr.". For example, I could still hear the instruments with names that don't include "Expr." like "Violin" but could no longer hear ones like "Violin Expr.". After reverting to factory settings I can hear those instruments again, but the dynamics are still not working on most instruments. The dynamics are working on percussion, but no longer on vocals, winds, brass nor strings.

To troubleshoot, I used Help>Revert to Factory Settings and the dynamics came back, but after editing for a few minutes or so they went away again. I removed my own sound font, changed instruments using the Mixer, yet all to no avail... :-(

My version of MuseScore is 3.6.2, and here's an example of a score of mine with this problem:

Note that the dynamics do not work for the vocals starting at measure 4, but they are working for clave
starting at measure 30. In fact the dynamics no longer work with other scores I've downloaded from MuseScore, so the problem may not be with the score itself.
