picking voices from score

Not sure what forum to put under, but does MuseScore allow you to pick just 2 or 3 voices from a score to create new score? Everything I try just replaces the voice I picked with the next voice. Could add another instrument, but then have to copy and paste. Wondering if I missed something, seems like people would want to do this often enough. Thanks Suzi

Select a note in the chosen Voice, then try experimenting with the right-click option:
Select > More... > Select notes > Same stave + Same voice > Add to selection
