Text navigation inconstancies on MAC

On the MAC
In the New Score and File>Project Properties text boxes..
Command + left/right arrows navigates to the start/end of text
Option + left/right arrows navigates to next previous word

However in the text boxes within the score itself
Command + left/right arrows navigates to next previous word (Command asumes the function of Option)
Option has absolutely no effect
Function + left/right arrows navigates to the start/end of text (Function asumes the function of Command)

On the Windows PC in all instances:
Control + left/right arrows navigates to next previous word
Function + left/right arrows navigates to the start/end of text
