Computer Keyboard shortcut to select individual note in a chord

In order to facilitate editing I want to sit at a given chord and then move up and down the chord selecting only an individual note (not the whole chord) for editing. Of course I can do this by mouse-clicking the note--but is there a computer keyboard shortcut to do this?
