Instrument Sounds and Ties not changing after updating to Musescore 4.3

I have several scores using the Choir Synthesizer instrument that now just play Piano sounds. Changing the sounds to Choir Synthesizer in Instruments (F7) and the Mixer (F10) doesn't change anything. I've also noticed that ties don't seem to work and that both tied notes still play out. What should I do?
