hiding articulations in MuseScore 4.3

Would like to keep my articulations in the background for a cleaner score and use text directions. Can anyone show me how this is done?

Select a symbol and ...

  • Press the "V" key. This toggles the "Visible" attribute.
  • Go to the Properties tab and uncheck the Visible checkbox.

You can multi-select symbols with Ctrl+click or by right-click and choosing Select or by using the Selection Filter (on the View menu).

IMO, text directions are much less "clean" than articulation markings, but whatever floats yer boat.
