creating a tablature staff for an arbitrary stringed instrument
In the attached file, there is a staff for a tenor viol, and a linked staff. I would like to turn the linked staff into a tablature, but choosing TAB in the clef palette doesn't seem to do the trick. What am I missing?

Thank you; worked like a charm! However, the stems and flags are missing from the TAB; why is that?
EDIT: Oops! I needed to choose common, not simple to get the full tablature.
