My parts lose all formatting when exported

• Jun 18, 2024 - 19:59

Whenever I export scores with multiple parts (for whatever reason, this problem doesn't occur when there is only one part in the score), it doesn't matter how I format each individual part, the pdfs end up formatted completely different to how I made them. It's as if the parts aren't extracting or something like that, but I am not aware of a way to extract individual parts on Musescore 4 (if there is a way). I've attached screenshots and files to show what I mean. This happens every time without fail, and I've tried virtually everything I could, just trying to export one part, the whole score, exporting them all together or separately, it is always the same outcome (and yes I saved the parts before exporting, many times). Strangely enough, the main score itself maintains good formatting but the rest of the individual parts don't. I would really appreciate some help with this.

Refer to Musescore issue.png to see an example of what it looks like in the score
Refer to Birdman-Score_and_Parts.pdf to see the same piano chart after I exported it (along with the other charts and the main score which retained formatting)

It looks like you are not genering parts and then format each part from the screenshot as I can only see one tab with one instrument visible.
To format the parts, you need to click the Parts button (at the top of the screen) and click Open All.
Then you get a tab for each part and you can format each part as you like.
After doing this, the exported socre with parts should be correctly formatted.

If you are following this process, please attach the musescore file for verification of the issue.
