Bass clef in piano score not showing

I created a piano score and missed a few measures. However, when I inserted the missing 8 measures, only the treble clef line appeared to be visible. I checked the staff settings, but nothing seemed off there, but i cant get the bottom part of the staff to show. Does anybody know what the problem might be?

It is because the score is set to hide staves when empty. Depending on what version you have, you should be able to find this setting in (for 3.x) format -> style or (4.x) the Properties panel.
