Text formatting Mac OS

I cannot find any way of changing colour of text on a page (apart from adjusting styles). Not via "properties", nor via "edit element".

If, for example, I wished to create a frame - say black with a black border - there is no obvious way to change the existing black type to white or yellow or pink ...

Is this a bug? Or is there some secret menu I cannot find?

"Or is there some secret menu I cannot find?"

Yes, I'm afraid that this is a case of Mu4's "discoverability" falling flat on its face.

To change the colour of a Frame border, you have to:
- select the text
- in the Properties tab, click "Show more"
- in the Properties tab, select the Frame rectangle icon
- in the Properties tab , change the Border colour

But to change the colour of a Stave text, instead you have to:
- select the text
- in the Properties tab, click the "Appearance" icon
- in the Properties tab , change the Colour property
