Files won't open
For the past three days I've been unable to open my MuseScore 4 files. I can open the program but am then told "MuseScore unexpectedly quit." I've been working on a piece for months. I hope it isn't lost.
I'm a Mac user.

No, it won't. Never, ever and under no circumstances MuseScore does delete scores, it just lacks that capability

You're right! I found them in "Documents" on my computer but not on my MuseScore app. Thanks!

Nevertheless, I guess that the OP see that this operation also resets the list of scores in the "Scores" home screen and in menu File / Recent scores.
They are no longer displayed, but are not literally deleted. They are still stored in a folder on your hard disk... eg in "Documents"!

My suggestion would be to not use the Save option. Use "Save AS" Why? That way you know exactly where the file will be saved. And I put a version number after the tile in the sav as box. For example "Worlds greatest tune_2". After the next session the number would be "3". You can always got back to an earlier version if you need to. And delete earlier versions after you are done.

Oh, crap! Both "save" & "save as" remain in grayscale and are unusable. What should I do now? This list serve, by the way, is fantastic!
