Dragging elements into palettes from score on mac
I am not able to drag my score elements into my palettes. I have tried to use the command + shift as in the handbook and it is not working. Operating Musescore 4

And after rebooting your computer?
What part doesn't work? Do you get the red circle with the slash? Does the palette not accept the new item? If the new item is an image, sometime the place you put it is blank. if you hover over it, it just says "image". You can name the square to match the image so that the name shows when you hover over it.
For me, it seems to work. Is it broken for you with all element types, or only some specific type (like, clefs, time signatures, dynamics, etc.)?
