What are the parallel lines over the double thirds wanting me to do?
Edit:
I found another example with recommend fingering. Could it be directing me to continue with the same fingering as the previous notes?

If I had to hazard a guess, I would think that second example meant that you were to keep the same fingering throughout. The first one is a little more mysterious, but I would assume something of the same. How fast is the piece? Is it written for keyboard, harp, or some other instrument? It would imply a double glissando, save that the staccato dots suggest that each third is individually struck and released.
