Complex measure w/cross-staff tied grace notes help

Greetings all!

I'm arranging Ravel's "Pavane" for a small ensemble. The piano's second to last measure is rather complex, as can be seen here:

I'm not changing the piano part here, other than dynamics & articulations. I've gotten this far in the recreation by attaching the appropriate grace notes to each individual voice, tying the notes while preventing them from playing (except those in the treble staff), hiding all but those in the treble staff, and dragging the ties to the correct locations:

My issue is obvious - I'd prefer the grayed out grace notes to not affect the overall measure spacing. Playing with the offsets doesn't seem to work. Perfect playback is not necessary. Any ideas?

(also, I haven't otherwise finished tweaking the appearance yet - sliding the beat 3 E's, moving the F# accent, etc.)

Thanks!

Here's my solution:

The way I did it is to simply avoid using grace notes altogether. Using the Bar properties I made the actual length of the bar 21/16 (adding 5/16 to 4/4, since the grace notes are worth 5 16th notes). Then, I added the grace notes as regular notes in the top staff. Move things down, add the ties, and then select all the grace notes and select "cue size" in the properties panel, which makes the note small. Then, it's a question of tweaking the various leading spaces and positions. I also added a fixed stave spacer in order to narrow the distance between the staves, the regular size beam adds too much space. Hope this solution works for you!
