Cannot open Musescore
I've been using Musescore for 6 months and it's great. Suddenly I cannot open it. I just get the flash screen for 2 seconds. The files are all still in My Documents and if I click there the same thing happens. I have no external speakers on my HP laptop. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have arrangements to finish. Thanks in advance.

Many thanks. I tried that and Musescore did open and I went through the set up pages and clicked Finish. Alas it is still the same and does not open it just leaves a blank page when I hover over the Musescore icon in the task bar.

So, How do you normally open MU4?
Try this: If you are on Windows, Go to Control Panel>Programs and Features>Right click MuseScore 4 and select Repair.

Many thank for your help. When I do that it says... THE FEATURE YOU ARE TRYING TO USE IS ON A NEWORK RESOURCE THAT IS UNAVAILABLE...ENTER AN ALTERNATIVE PATH TO A FOLDER CONTAINING THE INSTALLATION PACKAGE...Musescore studio cannot be found

You have MU4 pinned to the taskbar? Or does the icon appear on the taskbar after you try to open MU4?
I don't know how the built in MU4 repair works. The Windows repair work by using the msi that you downloaded to install MU4 to begin with. The error says that the instillation msi file can not be found. If you deleted it, you might redownload and try the repair from Programs and Features again. This repair is different from an uninstall and reinstall. Reinstall seldom works.

Got there in the end. I took it to a computer guy and it was a Windows issue. Clash of an update.
