MS 4.4 on mac confuses command and control keys

• Aug 29, 2024 - 06:35

None of the keyboard shortcuts involving control are working. All commands involving command act as if the control key were pressed.

Example:
Selecting a note and pressing cmd-k (standard on mac for adding a chord symbol) toggles "display in concert pitch" instead, which on my system is bound to ctrl-k.
ctrl-k is ineffective.

After restarting the OS, keyboard shortcuts involving the command key now work. The control key (which I use a lot in my custom keybindings) is still not functioning.

The bug is still present in 4.4.1.

Shortcuts involving the control key can be assigned in the keyboard shortcuts dialog (with the caret symbol ^ correctly appearing in the displayed shortcut) but don't work when editing a score.

Sorry if I missed something obvious, but I have a question:

What is the current process for reporting a bug? The link regarding this question on the forums page (https://musescore.org/node/36101) points to an outdated page and the link on that page that is supposed to point to the current version (https://musescore.org/de/search/site?f%5B0%5D=type%3Abook4&keys=Leitfad…) yields a page with irrelevant search results.

Are users still supposed to add bugs via the issue tracker as it used to be or is this subforum monitored and the devs enter them?

thanks in advance,
oliver
