4.4 Update caused playback to sound like a glitchy zoom call

I just updated to musescore 4.4 and the playback sounds terrible. It sounds like a glitchy Zoom call. I am using the standard sound that is automatically selected when you choose voice for the instrument. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

I reckon this is the same problem that other users have had in last couple of years, reported as, for example, 'playback keeps crackling and stuttering'. Various solutions suggested.

We've received a few reports that playback performance is worse since 4.4. We are working on a solution.

I had a similar problem that I resolved by changing the sample rate to 44.1Hz. I'm using Win11.

Will be fixed in MuseScore Studio 4.4.2 (and will also require a Muse Sounds update, so make sure to run Muse Hub after MSS4.4.2 is released, so that Muse Hub updates Muse Sounds)

That's great news. Marc already posted that audio rate should be set to 44.1Hz and that fixed my playback probs. Thanks
