So many official scores

• Sep 8, 2024 - 13:51

I do have a paid subscription and I used to be able to edit over 90% of the scores, but they almost seem to have been changed in official scores I have to pay extra for. And quite a lot as well! What's the policy behind this? Why should one still get a subscription???

The scores submitted in .mscz format by members of the Musescore community are still there, of course. The difference over the last few months is that, due to referencing, the official scores conveniently appear first in a search. You just have to scroll down a little to see the community scores.

And it all depends on what you're looking for, of course. If you're looking for early music scores, I'm not sure there are many Official Scores. If you're looking for a piece by, say, Led Zeppelin, that's another story...
