Missing symbol chart

I do not have my symbol chart controls and can't find how to get them back. I'm missing everything in the chart: bar lines, key signatures, tempo, etc. What do i need to do to get them back? Worst problem, I'm in the middle of a big project! Please respond. Thankis, John Fries
