Triplets
I',m trying to arrange for handbells Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring by Bach and I can't make the machine/software make the notes from 8th notes to triplets without it going in to 16th rests and notes. HOw do I need to address triplets and have it match the musical copy for arranging???

See: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/tuplets
And in particular for this piece of music: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/tuplets#consecutive-tuplets
For a triplet - comprised of three 8th notes - you must "split" a quarter rest/note (i.e., the total duration) into three parts using Ctrl+3
(Mac: Cmd+3).
See the third example in this picture:

In reply to For a triplet - comprised of… by Jm6stringer
See (one of the ways to achieve it):
- To select the first triplet created, click on the first 8th rest, then Shift + click on the third.
- Then press the "R" (Repeat) key as many times as necessary
