Increasing volume to the end of a semibreve

I have a choral semibreve in 4 4 which I wish to increase in volume from pp to f and then suddenly quieten to pp at the start of the next bar, with no rest in between. Where should I place the f dynamic to both indicate the correct instruction and also to achieve the correct playback? Thankyou
