Need Help
Hello everybody! I am trying to do a practice on Debussy's “Reverie”. I would like to be able to play the orchestral arrangement keeping the same rhythm. The piece is in 4/4, but the pedal note sounds first. If I distribute it to more instruments, how should I do it? Thank you very much.

I think that both notes should be played together.
Because the eighth note "D" cannot be placed on top
of the whole note "D" so they are printed side by side.
Just play them together. I hope I have understood
your question. Jeff

At first I ended up putting the notes together, but I love the way it sounds in this arrangement. But then I put an eighth note rest, I don't know if it's the most elegant or the right thing to do to get it across, but at least it sounds like what I want lol. Thank u all!

Hello! The eighth note is tied so it should be played by an instrument in the previous bar. The whole note should be played by another instrument.
