Replace articulation with another one
Hello,
I'm not satisfied with articulations I'd put one some notes. How can I replace the "wrong" articulation by a new one ? Thanks in advance. Friendly regards. Pierre

It's a good idea to be more specific ... or to include a copy of the score file (.MSCZ). I'm afraid that your description is far from clear.
I'm guessing that you mean (something like!) you set a note to be staccato and you have decided that you would prefer it be accento. If it's something like that, just click on the staccato symbol (the "wrong" one) and delete it. Then select the note again and click the accento symbol (the "new" one).

Good evening,
Thank you very much. I feel my description wasn't so unclear since you interpreted it perfectly ;-) And the solution you propose is full of "bon sens" but there is a problem (I think): I was able to put a (wrong) articulation on dozens of notes with only one click (after a selection); supposing that putting another (correct) articulation on the same note(s) it would replace the wrong one, but unfortunately it was added, so I have now dozens of double articulations to be selected one by one, which will take an horrible plenty of time. It would be useful to have an instruction which can delete several (dozens of) wrong articulations with one click. Is it only a dream ? Can anybody suggest a faster way than deleting the stuff one by one ? Sorry for my kind of English, at college I learned ancient greek instead but there are very few forums in that language on the web.
Friendly regards
Pierre

It's not a dream! It's not literally replacing articulations with anothers, as you mean it, but removing and adding articulations is so fast and easy that we achieve exactly the same goal, just in a different way. See:

Hi cadiz1 and many thanks,
The demonstration is brilliant ! I'm rather new to MuseScore (or simply new) and there is always such a plenty of capabilities, features and tips to discover that it takes years to have all of them on hand. I'll try and use your solution pronto.
Best regards
Pierre
Hi, It will be useful to be able to change the articulation without delete the first before re-writting the 2 nd .
For example click on a ">" and with "+" or "-" or with right and left arrows , the articulation change , or with a number like the duration..... .
Idem for the "f" , "mf" , "mp", "p" , "pp",,,,,

Ugh! Obviously you disagree, but I would find that HORRIBLY complicated. MUCH simpler to just zap what you don't want and add what you do.
