Adding a long pedal line that connects to the next page causes pedal line to become reversed

I'm writing a piano part that has fast repeating arpeggios which cause the measures to become quite stretched. When I tried placing a pedal line that connected from one page to another, the pedal line on the first page became reversed (the end hook ending up before the start hook) though it still connected properly on the second page.

I've tried writing the part manually without copy pasting, deleting and replacing the pedal line in every order, and restarting Musescore, but it either stays reversed, or the end hook ends up about 2 beats displaced from the end of the page, and moving it disconnects it from the next page.

This happens at measure 55-57. Copy pasting the section again causes the same problem.
