Unable to adjust tablature string after adding 8va alta

Guitar piece with regular staff and linked TAB.

In the attached file, after adding an 8va Alta line, it changed the tab to put all the notes on the first string, and won't let me adjust which strings the notes are played on. Without the 8va line, adjusting the tab is no problem.
