Triplets in a score
Hi,
I'm trying to write a score which is in swing time, but I cannot figure out how to turn a beat into triplets, because when I do convert 8th notes to triplets they become 16th note triplets. I'm uploading an example of what I want to be able to do.

A quarter note/rest is one beat - which is the full duration of your desired triplet group. So, first select a quarter rest and press the keyboard shortcut for a triplet, Ctrl+3 (Mac: Cmd+3). It will make 3 eighth rests as a triplet. Click each rest and enter the note.
Look at the picture here:

...and pay attention to each duration, and upon which ctrl+3 is invoked.

Or if you are using MuS 4: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/tuplets
