VST
3rd party VSTs can be used in Musescore, all right. But are Musesounds available as VSTs for use in other applications? And how do I do that?

Based on my knowledge and experience, Muse Sounds are not available in VST format. MuseScore exclusively designed them for use within MuseScore. Therefore, you cannot directly use them in other applications.
If your libraries are primarily VST-based and you’re aiming for a more comprehensive sound design, you might consider using a digital audio workstation (DAW) like Cubase, Logic, or Reaper. DAWs offer greater flexibility and integration with VSTs, making them an excellent choice for mixing and mastering your scores.
MuseScore can still serve as a powerful tool for creating and arranging your compositions before exporting the MIDI or audio to your DAW for further refinement.

Thanks for your answer - pretty much as I feared, actually. I mainly use Musescore to mazke rehearsal files for amateur choirs (men only). That works really fine already, but it would be nice to be able to polish these files a bit more. Maybe at some point in the future...
