Custom Default configuration

Is there a way to set a custom default configuration so that each time I begin writing music, all stems are up by default and accents are always placed above a note? I get really annoyed having to move accents to the top instead of the bottom and having to flip notes upright when they are automatically pointed downward. I write drum charts, and 99% of the time, I want the stems upwards.

There are a few other things I'd like to set by default but these are the most annoying for me so far.
