I want to connect to electronic keyboard

I want to connect to electronic keyboard. However, when I boot up, the display does not look like the tutorial at all. They say start with preferences and select I/O. Well, I don't find a preferences drop down as shown in the tutorial. My screen looks different, like a whole line of icons that go above the notes is missing. What am I doing wrong?

In MuseScore 4, for Preferences (the appearance and general behavior of MuseScore), go to Edit→ Preferences then select 'Audio & MIDI'.
(In MuseScore 3 it's Edit→ Preferences→ I/O)
