MuseScore 4.2.x shortcut issues on MacOS
Since I upgraded my MuseScore from 4.0.x to 4.2.x on MacOS (Sequoia 15), it does not work with shortcuts anymore. It is a pain to have to do things with so many clicks. It must be something about the Settings, References etc. that the new version resets it to the default as No shortcuts. Does anyone have the same problem? How to check and turn it on again? Thanks.

4.2 is pretty outdated, 4.4.4 is the latest

I updated several times up to to 4.2.x but the problem didn't go away. That's why I stopped updating and thought it might be something else. I did upgraded my MacOS to Sequoia about the same time. Could it be MaxOS+MuseScore related?

Try 4.4.4 and come back if that still has the issue. Reporting issues with downrev versions is pretty pointless.
But indeed shortcuts do have lots of issues. Some of which have been fixed meanwhile
