Audio isn't playing correctly after update.

I have a large 16 saxophone arrangement, and after downloading the newest musescore the audio is lagging hard in some areas, randomly sustaining notes until I reset the play, and making my headphones crackle really badly, to a point where I can't hear the music over the crackle, it sounds like radio static. I can't start this project over again.
