Musescore 4.4.4 suddenly stopped opening
A few days ago I went to open a large orchestral score I was working on and it will no longer open. This has happened once before a few years ago. It is very frustrating and kills the creative workflow. My project has come to a screeching halt. I airdropped the file from my iMac to my MacBook Pro and it opened but the screen is so small. When I try to open the file on my iMac I get the splash screen that says loading.... then it closes. I have left 2 messages with MuseScore but other than what appears to be an AI generated response telling me to contact another person at MuseScore I have made no progress. Tonight I tried to delete MuseScore and MuseHub but that didn't do it. I need to get it back up and running on my iMac. What is the solution?
Thanks

Try a restart of your iMac. Then go to the Help tab and select Factory reset.
Do other scores open on your iMac?

Hello,
Thank you for the response. I did try restarting my iMac but did not do the factory reset step so I will give it a go. To answer your question, no other scores are opening.

I restarted it and went to the "Help" tab but can only select "Tips for your Mac" & macOS help.
Thanks

Take a screenshot of that menu and attach it here. (I--and I'm sure others--have a guess that will depend on that screenshot.)

Sorry, I forgot you can't open MuseScore.
Try this:https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/revert-factory-settings#macOS

What I had thought. That's not the Help menu in MuseScore ... because you can't open the program. Follow Bob's suggestion about reverting to factory settings.
Good luck!!!
