Saving Files
Have just installed MuseScore on my iMac. When trying to save a score, this error message appears.
Your score could not be saved.
Read-only file system.
What am I doing wrong????

I've absolutely no experience with Macs, but to me it sounds like you don't have the right to save the score where Musescore wants to save it. Check if it's allowed. Alternatively, select another place on the disk, e.g. where you normally save your files.
