Chord instruments.

Due to personal and health issues I have been away from Musescore for some time although I do dabble in it from time to time, but have forgotten a lot; this could also be due to advanced age.
When creating chords through CTRL+K method, no matter which instrument I am using, say for instance an organ, the chord created is always a piano.
Is there something I am missing or forgotten.
I am using MS4.

(pity there wasn't a way to highlight a note on the score, press a combination of keys to create the chord based on that note. Wishful thinking)
