Issue with Playback of Articulations (Pizzicato and Arco) in Imported MusicXML File
Hello,
I am reaching out to seek help regarding an issue I am experiencing with MuseScore playback when importing a MusicXML file. Specifically, I noticed the following:
When the MusicXML file includes text directives like "pizz." or "arco," MuseScore displays the text correctly, but the playback sound remains as "arco," even when it should switch to "pizzicato."
If I manually add the "pizz." or "arco" articulation text directly within MuseScore, the playback switches to the correct sound (pizzicato or arco). This indicates that MuseScore recognizes its native articulation markers correctly but does not apply the correct playback when importing equivalent directives from the MusicXML file.
For reference, I have ensured that the imported MusicXML file includes the tags with the appropriate text ("pizz." or "arco"). However, this seems insufficient to trigger the playback switch in MuseScore.
I would greatly appreciate your guidance on the following:
Is there a specific requirement for the MusicXML file to properly trigger the playback of pizzicato and arco articulations in MuseScore?
Are there additional elements (e.g., tags) that I need to include in the MusicXML file to ensure correct playback?
Has anyone else encountered this issue, and if so, how was it resolved?
I am happy to provide a sample MusicXML file for testing if needed. Thank you in advance for your time and assistance!
Kind regards,
