Playback speed adjusting moves playhead position

Hello everyone, just switched to MuseScore 4 after using v. 3.6 for years.

When I happen to write arrangments for existing music, I often play my score over the original track. Obviously, even starting the score playback in perfect sync with the other track, there are tempo drifting overtime. In MS 3 It was easy to keep the two tracks in sync by using the playback speed changer, applying micro-adjustments to the speed percentage while rolling.

Now in MS 4, not only it is cumbersome to show the playback speed options by having to undock the toolbar, but then adjusting the playback speed percentage slider the playhead position abruptly moves to the new corresponding absolute clock time, which makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever.

Is there an option somewhere to keep the playback on point and still applying the speed change?
