Lyrics in a barbershop score
I am unable to add lyrics for different parts above the staff (or below in bass) to indicate lyrics sung at different times for different parts. I used to be able to do this. How can I make this work?

Maybe the Handbook explains it better but if it you just want to flip the occasional lyric then [Ctrl] X does it. BTW, your tenors have very high voices.
A Comment: When you have the Tenor part.
it should always be above the Lead (melody)
Tenors can easily go up to B flat above the
stave. I notice that you have some Baritone
and Bass Parts crossing.
This is not necessary or desirable.
Keep each part in its correct order:
Tenor, Lead, Bari, Bass. I know that you were
asking about placing lyrics for each part.
Try: Voice 1 Tenor on the top stave. (Stems up)
Voice 2 Lead - beneath Voice 1 same stave. (Stems down)
Voice 1 Bari for the top of the second stave. (Stems up)
Voice 2 Bass for the lower voice on the second stave. (Stems down)
Lyrics, by default, are placed underneath the staff. The X shortcut flips them to the opposite of where they are "now".
The easiest way to do what you want, is to select the first note in the voice that have stems UP in one stave (tenor on the top stave, baritone on the bottom). Add the lyrics that go with that part. Then, select all those tenor/baritone lyrics you just entered and press X. They will all flip up to above the stave.
Then select the first note in the voice that has stems DOWN in that stave and add its lyrics below the stave.
