Incomplete Measures and Rests
I am a new user to MuseScore and would like to disable the software inserting rests in incomplete measures. Is there a way to delete the rests or define incomplete measures? Thanks!

Sure.
Delete rests: select rests and press CTRL+DEL
Define incomplete measures: right click measure, goto measure properties and adjust the effective duration.
Measures with fewer duration as the original length from the time signature are marked with a little grey minus (-) in the upper right corner of the measure.
In Voice 1, they cannot be deleted, but they can be hidden. Select the rest(s) in question and press the V key.
