Grace notes and slurs

Slurs and grace notes works differently from slurs in “normal” music.

I’ve raised a question about this in the MS FB group and was encouraged to raise the question here a well.

The Problem I’ve had is that the method I normally use, i.e. select the range of notes for which I need a slur and then press “S” to get the slur doesn’t work if you have grace notes.

Two alternative methods were proposed:
1) select first note, press S to add slur, press Shift+Right to extend slur one note at a time
or
2) click first grace note to select it, click main note to select it, press S to add slur connecting them

Now, at least in my score, this results in the following:
to 1) it works but the slur is not correctly "transferred" to the part. The part still shows only a slur between the two grace notes.
to 2) works as well with the exception that in this case, the slur in the Violin I part, is extended to include the main note as well which is correct and ok.

NOTE. I tested two options, without save of the score and with save of the score but there is no change in behaviour. I didn't check the case where I reset the score /parts to the default. I attach the not yet finished score for information.

The problem is in Violin I, measure 32.

So, the question are:
1. Is the score corrupted? There are no error messages
2. Is it a specific feature of my score?
3. Is it due to my setup? I’ve the latest "official" release (OS: Windows 11 Version 2009 or later, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore Studio version (64-bit): 4.4.4-243461245, revision: 2232670 ) waiting for 4.5.
4. Something else?

For Information, I've not used any version of MS before 4.0, so I cannot say if this is a different behaviour in 4.4.4 w.r.t. 3.6/3.7

That is correct in the score itself.

I think I've now understood that I've to use a different approach to generate the slur with grace notes (i.e. more than one grace note) so that's fine.

The remaining question, at least with the score I've attached, is that if I first select the first of the of the two grace notes, press "s" to generate a slur (now only between the two grace notes) and shift right to extend the slur to the main note "G" doesn't generate this slur in the Violin one part as only the first two grace notes have a slur. The second option, click the first grace note, ctrl select the main note and then "s" gives the result you have in your picture and that is also shown in the Violin 1 part.

So, why is there a difference on part level between the two methods?
