spacing notes on staff
I need to space my notes on the song and cannot find any information in the handbook. I am sure it is there but was wondering if someone could help me out.

What do you mean by "space" your notes?
The application has certain settings for notes that place them appropriate distances apart, in order to not have notes colliding. If you add lyrics (as you have), then the same aspect of the program separates the notes farther apart, since words are normally longer (right to left) than individual notes. (To test this, type a very long word, ignoring syllabication, under a single note: it will gain more space before and behind it.)

For example, using the System Break tool from the Layout palette to force fewer measures on a system than the app is putting stretches all the measures (and thus the notes) farther apart.
